Mrs. Marla  Morrison is the owner/director of Missouri Music Academy and Forte' Academy of the Arts.  She has taught piano lessons and voice lessons professionally for more than 24 years. She is a piano and voice instructor, pianist, singer, music director, choir director, song writer and worship pastor.

 

Marla has professionally recorded and has served as an adjudicator for both state and national piano and voice competitions. She hand selects the instructors for Missouri Music Academy.

 

Her current and former students include a Grammy winner (2024,) music producers, a recent performer on Late Night with Jimmy Kimmel, actors on well known movies and TV shows, church music directors/worship pastors and college music professors. She teachess students of all ages and levels of difficulty, as well as all styles of music. Her students learn to read and play music by note, by ear, and by chord charts. She develops their song writing and arranging abilities.
